We are having a destination wedding and know that we are supposed to pay for our attendants lodging. Many of our guests and attendants are making a week long vaction out of coming to the wedding. Do we pay for their lodging for the night of the wedding or as long as they choose to stay -- even if that is a week?

Dear Knows to Pay,
I'm so glad that you took the time to learn about this. So many people do not. Thank you.
It is best to pay for at least two nights because they would need one night to settle in and the next for the wedding. But, beyond that it is your choice. Depending on the location, some decide to pay for three nights because it seems logical to do so. The attendants wouldn't have been able to get a flight out if they wanted to. But, you are definitely not responsible to pay for their vacation.
Best wishes,
