After my ceremony the wedding party plans on leaving in our limo and taking pictures at various locations. While in the limo, we plan on celebrating by having a few drinks with the wedding party and enjoying ourselves. We were thinking that this time might not be appropriate for our four year old flower girl. Her mother is a bridesmaid, but we thought that it might not be the place for a child to hang out. However, the flowergirl's grandmother will be at the wedding. Would it be inappropriate to have her take the flowergirl to the reception?

Dear Hanging Out,
This would probably be best. But, her mother should be fine with this decision.
This picture taking session and the hanging out period will be in between your ceremony and reception, so one consideration should be observed. It wouldn't be polite to your guests to leave them for an extended time period. It is polite to arrive as soon after the wedding as possible.
Many couples have a major portion, if not all, of their pictures taken before the wedding just because of this consideration.
Best wishes,

There is one other consideration, having too much to drink. Watch out for overconsumption. It is very easy to do especially since the party will be drinking and not eating.
Cheers!
