I am trying to figure out wording for our destination wedding invitation. I want it to be more fun and informal - and convey that although everyone is welcome, we understand most people won't make it, but we will have a reception when we return. What do you think of this wording? I can't seem to find many websites that have example language.

We’re getting ready to depart on a romantic trip,

which is only the start.

Bride

and

Groom

will be married on

date and location.

We invite you to join us in presence or in thought,

as we become Husband & Wife.

Please join us for a reception when we return

date from time pm at our home

address

I was then going to have an RSVP with choices of wedding, reception, both, none basically. Is this ok?

Dear Fun and Informal,

Absolutely. This is fine. Informal invitations can be conveyed just about anyway you wish. This is lovely.

Your idea for your RSVPs are fine as well.

Best wishes,
