We are printing our wedding invitations at home from one of those kits sold at Office Max and there is only one envelope that comes with these kits. What is the proper way to approach this? How do we address that outside, the one and only envelope? Thanks

Dear Home Printing,

You really don't change the way you address these with one exception. You may write, "and family" if you are inviting the entire family. This isn't the best because you could end up with extended family. But, it is difficult when you are only using one envelope.

If children are over 13, they should receive their own invitation.

If you wish to allow your guests to bring an escort, it is best to include a little note or call your friend.

Best wishes,
