I was wondering how we should go about are wedding reception. In November My husband and I went to Las Vegas and had our wedding there with just the two of us. Now our families and friends want us to still have a recepiton. Im not sure how to go about this though. Should we wear our dress and tux again? What kind of food should we prepare? Should we do it at a facility like a real reception? Let me know. Anything will help thanks sheena[:)]

Dear Sheena,

You can have any type of reception/party you wish, including dressing in formal attire. However, some elements of a traditional reception may not 'feel' right because you have been married a few months. So, use your best judgment. An example of elements you may want to skip: some of the dances and tossing the bouquet and garter.

Serve the type of food that suits the time of day and the location. If you are hosting this at home in the afternoon, you can serve rolls, cold cuts, and salads, or even a barbecue. If you are hosting this after five at a facility, you may want to serve a sit down meal or a buffet.

Best wishes,
