I'm going to be getting married in Las Vegas and the only people that are invited are our parents and his brother. I've been told to register for gifts "because people will want to get us something and they'll want it to be something we like". If people want to get us gifts that would be lovely, but we certainly don't expect it considering they aren't technically invited. ( I'm not even certain we are going to even send out announcements) We will be having a reception after we return where friends and family will be invited but that date has not been determined and we don't expect gifts for this even either. With that being said, should we register or not?

Registering for Gifts?

Dear Gracious Bride,
You are refreshing. It is so nice to hear of someone not focused on gifts.
Yes, register as a courtesy for those who wish to give you a gift. It isn't the same as requesting them.
Best wishes,

Yes, but do not include those little cards the registries give you in the invitation. Only tell people who ask.
