Color trouble

My wedding party lives all over the country. My idea was to have each of the girls pick out a dress of their choice. I would give them color guidelines and then they would pick a dress in that color. I am planning on some sort of brown for their dresses. My concern is that there are many different bridal shops with different shades of colors and i want to avoid any shades of brown that clash together. At first this didn't concern me, but the thought of browns clashing together just didn't paint the picture i would want on our wedding day. How can i chose a shade that will be universal?

Have you thought about picking a color from a specific designer that does seperates such as Alfred Angelo and having the girls pick which top and bottom to wear but they would all be the same color?

I think this might be your best bet considering your bridal party is not located locally.

Best Wishes
