Place Cards indicating Menu Choice
Hello,
I will be creating my own place cards for my guests. In past weddings I have attended, I notice that some guests will change the color of the place cards or use stickers to indicate the guest choice of dinner.
Since I am doing this in a mail merge in Word, I was wondering if it's appropriate to just state what the guest has chosen on the card. We can use stickers or choose clip art, but it would save us some time to just have it print out on the card. For example it would look like below:
"R S L (our initials)
Mr. John Doe
Table Twenty
Prime Rib"
I would appreciate your advice as to whether doing this would be appropriate vs. using a sticker to indicate choice.
Thanks!

Place Card Indicating Menu Choice

Dear Rach6539,
I agree that your options are acceptable. I would add that a color indicator makes it easier on the catering staff. So use different colored ink to type the menu choice and advise the catering manager and it will work well for all.
