Hi, We're getting married this year in May here in Phoenix, Arizona on a Friday night. The Ceremony will start about 6.30 pm with reception to follow at same location. The Ceremony will be held outside and the reception will be inside in a room with 2 glass walls. The theme we've decided on for inside is Seashells as we are both SCUBA divers and this also relates to a story that my Fiancee made up for me for our 1st Anniversary (dating) My Fiancee and I have decided to do the "Invitation in a Bottle" for ourselves and have a question on etiquette with regards to our guests dressing. Lately, here in Arizona, I've noticed that people don't dress up for weddings. I've seen people in blue jeans at affairs that I would be embarrassed to be that casual at, even though it was set up as a Cowboy/Cowgirl wedding. I've even seen people in denim at Church weddings and other evening weddings. We'd like to say something as to "Semi-formal preferred". Unfortunately the Invitation in a Bottle is done on one piece of paper with RSVP done at the bottom of the invitation with a phone number and an email address. Where would I put the wording for the dressing preference? Any ideas?? Thanks!

Dear Bottled,

Attire isn't mentioned on the invitation unless it is formal and it is a wedding and reception invitation. So, it is best to include this information on an enclosure.

Best wishes,
