I am the MOG at a 3 p.m. June wedding and have chosen an iris portrait collar dress. I am not sure whether to put silver or black accessories with it? The wedding colors are as follows: Bride is wearing traditional white. Bridesmaids are wearing long strapless lavender satin gowns with silver shoes. Groom/groomsmen are wearing black tux, white shirt, silver vest & ascot. MOB is wearing a platinum dress. Thoughts, please?!

Dear MOG,

Although either silver or black accessories would be fine with your iris portrait collar dress, I think silver would work best with the color combination you described. The silver will blend nicely with the iris as well as the lavender and platinum dress colors that the bridesmaids and MOB are wearing.
