Well my momo and dad decided that they were going to renew their vows on there 30th Wedding Anniversary. My mom was wanting to know if their is any guidelines to follow. When they got married my mom was pregant with me so they went to the Justice of the Peace. They never did get to have their big wedding and my mom has also wanted to have one. I will give you what she has thought of so far and let me know what is proper and what isnt. She did go and buy a wedding dress but it is a dress that someone would wear if they were getting married for a second time. She wants to have my sister, sister-in-law, and me stand on her side and my brother and her two son-in-laws stand up on my dad's side. To make a long story short she wants the wedding she never had. Can she do this? What should she do and shouldn't do? Thanks for your help in advance.

Renewing Vows for parents
#2
Dear Mom and Dad Revowing,
Actually, we answer this question often. Please read the many posts concerning this. Plus, there is an article about it. Please read more about vow renewal etiquette. If you have any more questions after reading these, please come back.
A married couple is already married. And, a vow renewal is not a wedding. There really has to be a difference in the ceremony.
Best wishes,
