I'm hoping for some quick help! My daughter is having a 3:00 wedding on July 8. The location for her reception has recently changed - the rustic setting for a picnic barbeque reception turned out to be a little TOO rustic, and the reception will now be held at the church. Originally we'd planned to allow time between the wedding (then scheduled for 2:00) and reception to give guests time to change into comfortable clothes before going to a dinner time reception. We've been able to move the wedding back one hour, to 3:00, but that still means the reception will be a little early for a dinner. However, my daughter is set on a casual barbeque/picnic, and our church facilities will work well with this. I need some quick help on the wording for the reception cards. "Reception immediately following the ceremony" at the church for a 3:00 wedding doesn't give even a hint as to the kind of reception planned. Should we write "Reception and casual dinner immediately following the ceremony..."? Other ideas? Thank you!

You can use "reception immediately following the ceremony_____" but use an enclosure card to indicate the casual attire and atmosphere. You should also be using a more informal invitation than you would for a full out formal wedding.
