Hi, I'm hoping to get some advice about wearing gloves. I'm 22, getting married in November (5pm ceremony) and am wearing a strapless dress. My mum hates the idea of gloves (thinking they're old fashioned) but I like the look of gloves although a main reason for wearing them is to cover my nails (which I can't stop biting-horrible habit [unsure]) but I've read they should be removed for the exchanging of rings and photos with the ring. This defies the purpose. Is it so wrong to put the ring over the glove ?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated []

Ring over gloves?

Removing the gloves does not defy the purpose of having them, it is practical. You can't slip your wedding ring over full coverage gloves. And, as for the photos, showing the new wedding ring is a big deal. So, again, the gloves come off.
Perhaps since you indicated your reason for wearing them is to cover your natural nails, you may want to think about having your nails professionally manicured for a more polished look. Then, you wouldn't have to have the gloves at all, unless your heart is really set on them.
