I am planning a destination wedding in the Dominican Republic at a resort that claims to have an on-site wedding coordinator. However, if this persons responds to emails or phone calls, it typically requires about 2-3 weeks (she sometimes does not respond at all). I understand that "Caribbean time" is a little different from "American time", but I am seeking suggestions for getting information in a timely manner. This is a 5-star resort; therefore I expected excellent service. My wedding is almost a year away, so it is not a huge problem now. However, I do not want this to be an issue as the date gets closer. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!
