Our daughter's wedding invitations are formal with the wording on the inside. The design has an asymmetrical closure with curved flaps exposing part of the the vellum and the pastel colored card beneath. It is tied with a satin ribbon. I searched your web site for information and found that you recommend that enclosures be placed inside the invitation. However, we have the traditional RSVP card and envelope plus a direction card and a map card which have been printed on heavy paper, matching the smaller RSVP card in weight and texture. These cards are the same size as the invitation. To tuck them inside the invitation would spoil the effect of these lovely invitations. Is it permissible to do things another way?

The enclosures can be separate from the invitation with the unusual design of your daughter's. This will be fine.

Absolutely. Just follow the example in the article without placing these inside the invitation.
