I am getting married next year in a very informal wedding. My fiance' is a very quiet person and doesn't have many friends he feels close to. His best friend past away not too long ago and he hasn't found another real close friend. We talked about who he wanted standing up next to him and he told me he didn't have any one in mind and wanted me to pick. So I thought about it for awhile and decided that I would ask my brother, cousin, and close friend if they would stand next to him. They all get along quite well. I asked my fiance' if this was ok and he said those were fine choices and he would be glad if they stood next to him on our wedding day. Is this ok? to have the brides family on the grooms side? and that the bride picked the groomsmen and best man? I just want to make sure I am not doing something wrong...
Thanks in Advance[:)]

The groomsmen do not have to consist of family members or friends of the groom. As long as the groom likes the men these people seem like a good choice.
