Hi...

I have a quick question or actually two...Since we pay wedding planners/event coordinators a ton of money to plan our wedding; do we have to buy them a dinner plate at the rehearsal and reception? I mean, will they even have time to eat? Second, what about our Pastor? Does he get invited to the Rehearsal Dinner and Reception too?? We are already giving him a generous donation for marrying us.

Thanks, KDM

Generally, couples purchase what is called a 'vendor meal' not only for the wedding planner at the reception, but any wedding professional who is working more than four hours at a couples' wedding and reception. This could include the photographer, videographer, band, d.j., etc. These meals are considerably less than what is paid for guests. A wedding is a wedding planner's work day so yes, we do have to find time to eat.

As for the Officiant, yes, he/she does receive an invitation to the wedding reception, along with any spouse.

Cheers!
