First, thank you so much for such a wonderful site! I started out with many questions, but have narrowed it down to a few - all about hosted activities at destination weddings.
Background: My fiance and I are getting married in Hawaii next year. The majority of our guests will have to travel to attend the wedding. My fiance's parents will be hosting a welcome luau two days before the wedding and my parents will be hosting a brunch the day after the wedding. My parents will also be throwing a banquet for us 6 weeks after the wedding that will include everyone that was invited to Hawaii as well as those who were not.
My questions are -
1) May we include the information about both of the events on the Save-the-Date cards so that guests will be able to make travel arrangements accordingly? (Please note that we are already planning on putting the banquet date on the Save-the-Date cards too.)
a) If so, how should the information be presented?
2) In what manner do we formally extend the invitations to these events? I figured there are a couple of different ways.
a) Separate invitations - Should we send a separate invitation for each? Or put the invitations in with the wedding invitation? I have concerns with both of these approaches as I don't want to overwhelm anyone with too many invitations since we are already planning on including the invitation to the banquet in with the wedding invitation(per another posting I read). Or, could we put a note in the welcome baskets extending the invitation again with the details about the events?
Put the information into the invitation - If this is your suggested method, how should the information be presented on the invitation?
Thank you so much![]

Thank you for appreciating all of us! It's a pleasure to help. However, would you please edit your post to include only one question per post. We have a few experts who will answer different types of questions.
