My boyfriend wants his sister in the bridal party. The only problem is that we don't get along at all. I know that she won't help with any of the planning and our tastes are completely opposite. I've always hung out with more guys than girls so the only girl I have in my party so far is my best friend (obviously the maid of honour). If I put his sister in the wedding I have to put my two sisters in the wedding or cause a huge fight. The only problem is that they're only 12 and 10. On top of that his sister-in-law will be offended if she wasn't included even though she black listed the two of us from any of her plans. (Except for the list of people to blame when things went wrong). I don't mean to sound bitter but I'm already stressed about doing the right thing and not offending anyone but I haven' even told my family we're engaged I'm so worried. Please help me!!!!

First things first, make your engagement announcement! There wil be plenty of time for stress during the planning process! []

Seriously though, please have a long and thoughtful discussion with your fiance and together, make your decisions about who will be in your bridal party. If he really wants his siter who cares if she helps? Whnat's more important is that you and your groom communocate and make decisions together amicably. This certainly prepares you for married life! Choosing your bridal party members should not be political, but choose the people you hold most dear. If you are really that worried about hurt feelings then keep the bridal party down to maid of honor and best man, period! Then no one will feel slighted.
