Help
Most of the guests are coming from out of town. The Groom's family is from Florida, the wedding is in New York, and most of the Bride's guests will be coming from more than an hour away.
What are the guidelines for the Rehearsal Dinner Invitees? We would like to limit it to the Wedding Party and immediate family on both sides.
Where can we draw the line and not be offensive?

Dear The Father of the Groom,
You can definitely have a dinner for only the bridal party and immediate family. This is not viewed as poor manners. It is a nice gesture to invite out of town guests. But often it is impossible, because as you say, where do you draw the line.
It would be a wonderful gesture, if something could be organized through one of the hotels chosen for the guests for that night. It isn't something that any of you would have to pay for, just ask if something could be done for all of your guests. After all, you are bringing in a number of guests for them. ....just a thought.
