It's thursday night, I am getting married saturday afternoon. My piano player called and said that she can't play for us at the wedding. Plain and simple, what do we do?

If you don't know of any other piano players personally, call the church to see if they can recommend a replacement. If that doesn't work call some friends and check with their churches.

If you have a contract with this player, remind them of their agreement. Maybe they can get you a replacement. If you do not have a contract, this should be a lasting reminder about why it is important to get everything in writing - even from friends and acquaintances.

We just saw your post about your piano player not being available for tomorrow.
FIRST
If you have a friend who's reliable and organized, you could use an IPOD and attach it to a speaker and download the music you need for tomorrow. If you don't have an IPOD, etc., use a plain old fashioned BOOM BOX that plays CDs...and then burn your music to CDs online.

Do whatever you can do to get a good sound. Your location people may be able to help you. PLEASE do check on the electricity available, etc. and tell them it's an emergency, etc.

Ask your contact person if they have someone EXPERIENCED WITH WEDDINGS to play for you. If not, see if they'll help you set up a CD player and speakers, etc. They may even have a suitable wedding CD on hand for emergencies.

Be open to asking favors of friends and family for help in getting whatever you need.
