I am composing a wedding announcement and am having a bit of trouble with proper punctuation. What are the guidelines for punctuation? The only advice I've received so far is that "there isn't much punctuation involved on an invitation/announcement." This isn't very helpful, as I am not comfortable leaving out all punctuation! Mostly I need advice about comma placement, such as: ...joyfully announce their marriage which took place... and: They make their home together with their son John at...

Please, any help you could offer would be so appreciated! I am trying place the order for my announcements today.

Thanks, you ladies are wonderful!

Dear Kabernathy,

There really isn't much punctuation, mostly just capitals at the beginning of sentences and periods at the end. This is the traditional version: Mr. and Mrs. James Walker have the honour of announcing the marriage of their daughter Cheryl Rae Walker to Mr. Timothy Earle Jones Date Location

The couple is announcing:

Cheryl Rae Walker and Mr. Timothy Earle Jones announce their marriage Date Location

If you want to include the change of address in these, you could add the information at the bottom just as it is in your example.

Best wishes,
