Recently I've been seeing some centerpieces where the the entire rose head is submerged in water. They are in cylinder vases and there are about 3 roses and the bottom and second roses are submerged totally in the water and the third one is floating at the top. How is this done? Fresh or silk flowers and how do they get it to sink evenly apart from one another?

[:)] It is even easier than it might seem. Cut stems to hold down the bottom roses and to the length you want. Just get a few roses and try it. I would use fresh since silk might bleed the colors or rust the wire in the stems.

Use lukewarm water with a little drop or two of bleacj in the vases. Make them no more than half a day before the reception.
