My daughter is getting married in July and the invitations have been mailed. The wedding is in Pennsylvania, her fiance is from Wisconsin and they graduated from college in South Carolina. There are people invited from all over the country, many of whom I have never met.
The RSVP's are very slow coming in. Since I have all of the mailing addresses, but very few telephone numbers, would it be appropriate to send postcards after the response date to those who have not responded? I would include a note to please think a happy thought for the bride and groom on their wedding day and that if, in fact, the RSVP got "lost in the mail" and they are planning to attend to please call me immediately, otherwise we will know they are unable to attend.

You're still assuming that your mail will arrive. You could have bad addresses. Please try to get the telephone numbers and call.
