Are silk flowers better then real for weddings?

My parents are suggesting real flowers for my wedding but I have allergies and was thinking silk would be better. What is the best sort of flower for a formal wedding? And since I have allergies would silk be all right?

If your allergies to flowers are bad enough to make you sniffly then by all means go for the silk. Why spoil your day with runny makeup and a red nose when silk flowers can be just as beautiful, if done right. If your parents are objecting to silk maybe it's becuse they are thinking of the old time silk flowers that were not as lifelike as the flowers today. Go to a good shop or look online at some samples with your mom and show her that silk flowers and bouquets can be a really good alternative for those with allergies.

Silk flowers are a great alternative, especially if you have allergies. Also, they make great keepsakes for you and your bridal party.

Some other great benefits:

You don't have the extra expense of preserving your bouquet

Worrying about what to do with the flowers after the ceremony.

I am using silk flowers for my wedding and they have turned out extremely well. I also have allergies and I am very satisfied with the decision to use silk.

Hi,

I have eczema on my hands, so have no intention of having a bouquet of real flowers!

I've seen some beautiful silk bouquet's and it will be nice to keep and treasure.

I purchased my flowers on ebay. A complete package of silk bouquets, mine, and three bridesmaid's bouquets, along with all the corsages and boutineers, and even some extras for only 150 dollars, plus the toss bouquet. They came out beautifully and they last a lifetime. I think its the way to go. Why spend all the money on real ones that dry up, and fall apart?

You don't have to worry about last minute setup with silk flowers. You can store silk over time. Otherwise, you'll need to setup the location before the wedding with real flowers. We suggest to our customers to use silk flowers on their pew bows.
