I am maid of honor in my sister's wedding in early November at which point I will be 7 1/2 months pregnant.

My dress choices are a maternity bridesmaid dress for $200 or a bridesmaid dress with a seam at the waist in a larger size which will be altered for $140.

I'm going to assume either dress would need alteration which costs extra. Anyone have any ideas, for each dress, what the alteration would involve and approximately how long it would take to alter each one?
