What color to use for sashes on chair covers

We are planning to rent chair covers and a sash for each of the chairs for the reception. The table cloth and linens are all white and we would like to rent white chair covers. I'm not sure what color of a sash bow to use. The colors of the wedding are "honeybee" (yellowish-green) and "sea glass" (light aqua). The centerpieces will incorporate these colors. The carpet in the reception room is a dark green, so I was thinking it would be better to pull in the green color somehow. They have a lime green organza sash that may be close in "honeybee color" and there is also an aqua organza as well. I don't know how each will match until I receive samples of the colors.

Would it be better to stay with a neutral color such as a light sage green organza or a champagne organza for the sash on the chairs? I don't want to overpower the room if the color doesn't match exactly. Or would another color be more complimentary?

First, if you are having a florist create your centerpieces, I would definitely consult with him/her and see what they think will complement best. That said, of the choices you mentioned, I don't know that I'd introduce a whole new color family with the champagne, and I imagine that the aqua will give the whole room a bluer tint than you're looking for. I'd be very sure that the sage or other green you are looking at are going to work with your centerpieces and not create too many green palettes - or perhaps you could actually pick up the carpet and go with a dark green sash?

It's a tricky palette - try bringing in a sash, a chair cover and samples of the colors you are using for the centerpieces and spend a short time in your reception venue experimenting for the best combination.

Thank you for your suggestions. We are creating our own centerpieces and not using a florist, so I do not have someone to consult with. The centerpieces will be a wide mouthed vase with a green candle and sea glass surrounding the candle in the colors stated above. This will be placed on a 2 toned mat with the same 2 colors.

If I don't think the color of green sash will match, should I then opt for "no sash" or a "white sash"? Attached is picture of the chair covers we will be renting. It is shown in the sage color and also a blue (that we are not considering)

Without being able to compare the actual centerpiece colors, it's too hard for me to guess...however, the good news is that you should be able to take the elements that you're using for the centerpieces and request a sample of the chair sash fabrics - then compare. That kind of "run-through" is really your best option.

I definitely do not recommend white sashes on white chairs in front of white tablecloths - that "sea" of white is usually way too stark.

I have samples coming to me and I agree that is the only way to know. The wedding is December 1st, so decisions need to be made quickly.

Thank you for the tip on the white as well! I'll steer clear of all white.
