Hi!

The other bridesmaids and I are planning a shower for my sister in March. It is going to be a chocolate/candy theme. We want to have centerpieces on the tables but are having a hard time coming up with an idea. Do you have any creative yet inexpensive suggestions?

Thanks!

You can do a lot of fun things with clear glass containers or vases with color marbles or rock candy in the base for weight then any kind of candy that comes in stick form - chocolate lollipops shaped like wedding bells or brides and grooms (or other wedding shapes - you can get the forms and chocolate at craft stores); those big old-fashioned swirly lollipops are festive. Or, rock candy in sticks sticking out of fun containers adds a little sparkle. Depending on how many tables you have, you can get two-tier serving trays and pile up truffles in pretty paper - a dual-purposes edible centerpiece. This is the perfect time to hit a discount/dollar store for all things chocolate and romantic (just choose wisely and weed out the "finds" from the copious junk).

Think outside the box - what a fun theme to work with! Good luck.
