I am trying to plan an informal to semi formal wedding and I don’t know what my fiancé should wear? He says he does not want a tux and I am ok with that, but I am not sure what my other options are. Could someone give me some ideas and let me know what type of wedding gowns are appropriate to wear if the groom is not wearing a tux?

Dear SN2424,

Since I am the owner of a tux shop my personal belief is that no wedding is semiformal and a tux should always bw warn by the groom unless he is in the military and want to wear his military dress. But if the groom insists on not wearing a tux, you might consider a cutaway coat which can be rented from a tux shop for semiformal weddings, and of course your last resort would be a nice black or navy suit.

Regards,

David

If your Fiance is insisting on not wearing a tux don't worry you can still look beautiful. Look for dresses that have a more simple style with simple lines. Try a dress thats not traditionally full and with no train.

I've seen some beautiful slip and chemise dresses. Let me know if you have any other questions.
