What to say about MOH dress?

I am getting married in less than a week and I just saw the dress that my MOH wants to wear to my wedding. I am getting married at the courthouse chapel. It is semi-casual, but all are dressing like you would for church. I have worked very hard to make the shirt for my fiance and even msde my own dress. It isn't too fancy, but I have paid for a photographer to come and take pictures. I am also having a small reception for family and friends. My problem is that the dress that my MOH is planning on wearing looks like a dress you would pick up in the good will. It is faded and salvage edges of the neckline show. I asked her if I could fix it, but she has refused. The color she selected doesn;t match my colors. Am I wrong to be upset about the dress, or should I try to give her other opions? I have my teen daugher's black prom dress, but am unsure if it is okay to ask her to wear it. I should say that I have no other bridesmaids, so what ever I do I only have to worry about the one.

Dear Panda,
You have every right to ask your MOH to dress appropriately. Actually, you have the right to choose the dress she wears. So, you may have the difficult decision of accepting her as she is or asking her to step down. As long as you have someone as witness (doesn't have to be an attendant), you don't need a MOH.
Best wishes,
