I'm traveling from out of town to be an attendant in a friend's wedding. When she was in mine, we paid for her hotel for 4 nights. She has offered to have me stay at her apartment for the first two nights I am there and then when my husband arrives, we will stay at a hotel. I have been assuming that they would pay for the hotel but I asked whether we should make our reservations or if they would be doing that for us, and she told me I would need to call the hotel. How can I ask her if they are paying for the hotel? Or should I just assume we are paying for it ourselves?

She may not realize that the couple pays for at least one night of their attendant's lodging. So, you may have to ask her.
