Hi all. I have a bit of a silly delimma regarding what to do with my fiance's hair in our wedding. And just to clarify (because it may be confusing [tongue]) I'm the bride and my fiance is the groom. Our wedding isn't until November, but I'm starting to think about these things now, as most brides do.
My fiance is of Asian descent and has thick, dark, glossy hair that is all-one length and falls to several inches below his shoulders. I love his hair and want to really show it off at the wedding. At first I thought that I'd just have him brush it out and leave it loose and let it hang over his shoulders. But then I started thinking that his hair is much prettier than mine, so why shouldn't he have a pretty style? An updo of some sort, or a half-updo that would show off his length?
So my question is really multiple: Has anyone ever seen a groom with his hair "done"? Do you think that is it would look OK? (he'll be wearing a pretty standard tux). Any suggestions on a style that might work with his type of hair (long, thick, Asian)?
I know that this probably sounds really odd, but it may not be that strange in our case. I've always loved playing with his hair and he lets me do all sorts of things with it. I'll do his hair in braids or curls pretty frequently, and even get him to use hair accessories from time to time. He'll even wear a lot of those styles out in public. He's a very individualistic guy and doesn't care much about what people think, and he knows that I love his hair, so he just goes along with what I want to do. In fact, I think he might even enjoy the two of us going together and having our hair done before the ceremony which is really what I would love to do.
Any advice for my strange scenario?

Groom long hair style
#2
Why not! I like it when guys have the top pulled back in a half pony at the crown. Then his length will show. I would not get too crazy with it as it may take some steam away from you! []Many hairdressers, (guys)wear their hair many ways so I am not surprised by this. Have fun! Maybe you can find some cool rhinestone pony tail holder for it!
