Due to limited parking at the chapel (on a university campus, we are hiring a unique thing: Oxford, Mississippi's Double Decker bus. We'd like the bus to pick up guests at 2 hotels and/or at the reception location (1/2 block from one of the hotels) and transport them to and from the chapel. After the reception, the DD will transport people back to their hotels. The bus is rented from the City of Oxford. Should we tip the driver? If so, how much?

Dear MyHashen,

Tipping drivers is common, but is still optional. If you choose to tip, 15% is the norm.

Best wishes,

I think I read somewhere that Martha Stewart says consider giving a tip of 15-20 % of the cost of the ride, paid in cash when he delivers the last guest (or at the begining if it's more convenient). Note that some limo and transportation companies include a tip with their service so watch for that in the contract.
