My only attendant is wearing a long-sleeved, short red dress for a late october 2nd wedding in Virginia at noon. Can she wear a pair of red shoes she already owns that have both an open toe and open heel, like slides or mules with a low heel?

Thanks.

If the wedding is informal, yes she can, as long as they match the color of the dress. The shoe you descirbe sounds like a very casual type of shoe. Other options would be gold-tone or silver tone shoes depending on the accessories. Enjoy the wedding!

I agree, if the style works for you don't get hung up in the time of year and fashion rules.
