We recently had an engagement party and a lot of my grandparents friends came (thru word of mouth from parents) and I barely know them. Do I have to invite the same people to my wedding or can I just invite close family and friends?

Anyone who was invited to your engagement party should be invited to your wedding. All prewedding guests are also wedding guests. This is just another reason why we should be very careful about allowing others to invite guests to these parties until we know our plans for our wedding.
