I have recently collected my wedding dress and thought the new dress might be the sample dress I tried on. The reason I have this thought is because the size is the same. The shop said they're going to order a size 8 when I was trying a size 10 dress. However, when I picked up the dress, it was size 10. They explained that sue to my larger size bottom they ordered me a size larger. Also, the design was 2 years old and the new dress was made within 2 months.

How can I found out if the dress I bought is the sample dress or a new dress?

Dear Szeling,

Obviously, I am not the expert in this field. But, I can tell you that it isn't improper to stand up for yourself and to speak up. They already confessed to ordering the incorrect size. They should deliver what you ordered in the first place. So, it really doesn't matter if the "fess up" to giving you the sample dress.

Perhaps you could mention the BBB and Consumers' affairs as a back-up. Unfortunately there are those who prey on people who are on a time-line, like brides.

Good luck!! Please let us know how this plays out.

I totally agree! You might even consult with Better Business Bureau prior to confronting the store owners. Good luck and keep us posted!
