Help
Hello,
I got engaged late 2007 and chose a summer 2009 wedding. Both of our families knew the date. We wanted to give everyone ample time to make preparations. My wedding is in 3 months. I was just informed my 1st cousin is pregnant and she is getting married before the baby comes, (which I understand). The part I am most upset about is that she scheduled her wedding one week before mine.
I am really hurt by this. I am not a person who asks for much, and this wedding is the one thing I have really ever wanted. I have been dreaming of this day for the 7 years I have been with my future husband. I will be the first person in my family to have a real wedding.
I am concerned all my family who lives 1-2 hours away will not want to travel two weekends in a row for a wedding.
Should I confront my cousin or just let it be? I know I can't control this, but I am very hurt. What should I do?

Honestly, unless I had to fly to attend a wedding for those who are close, I would not have a problem driving a couple of hours two weekends in a row. People are more important than a little discomfort and gas. But, you could ask her if there is any way she can change her date to one that is not so close to yours. That isn't confrontational and is reasonable. She may not, but she might.
