Is is appropriate to use unusual colors for silk flowers at a wedding and for table decorations? My daughter is getting married. Her colors are chocolate brown and sky blue. Is is appropriate to use brown colored silk roses?

Brown silk flowers for wedding

My short answer is no. Brown roses and sky colored blue roses are not found in nature, and may look very unusual if used. My suggestion would be to use an accent color such as white or creme to do all of the flowers in. This will be a more subtle look, and your guests may not even realize that you have used silks.
Ways of tying in the sky blue would be to use an accent ribbon on the vases or keep your linens colored with the sky blue and chocolate brown.
Ten years down the road, you want to be able to look back and think that you made the right decor decisions. Let us know if you have any further quandaries, and thanks for your question!

I have to agree with the flower diva as well. Please try to choose silk flowers that look natural. You would do well with sky blue hydrangeas or delphinium blooms and just a few with brown ribbon or stems, grassy looking stuff. I would strongly suggest adding a bit more spark, maybe some white, lime green, buttery yellow or electric blue or bright fushia would be worth considering.
There are plenty of better ways to incorporate brown into the decor. Consider linens, placecards, ribbons and perhaps cake accent scroll work or the like.
Brown is your dark neutral background. Work your color pallette in front of it to see what will look best. Go a bit brighter with the flowers.
