The bridesmaids and I are planning a shower for our friend. The shower is now less than two weeks away and everything has been bought and put together already except for the food. We came up with favor ideas a few months ago and also bought centerpieces for the tables. After talking with the MOB it was discovered that the favors and centerpieces are similar to the ones being used for the wedding. None of us were aware that the bride planned to use these same things. She told us we would need to change them but since they are already assembled they cannot be returned and we cannot afford to buy new ones. What should we do?

Use them. Don't worry about it. This is only a shower, which is supposed to be a small intimate affair that focuses on the joy of the upcoming wedding. The type of favors or flowers don't really matter.
