This may have been asked before. I know it's tacky to put registry information on the invitation. HOWEVER, what about a wedding website. Would it be tacky to include a small card in the invite that says "Please visit our wedding website at www..."?
My fiance and I have a wedding website. It contains a wedding countdown (180 days), our story (how we met, our first date, how he proposed, etc), a picture page, and ...oh yeah.... a registry for those who are interested. The registry is not the major part of the page. By and large, the major part of the page would be our picture page.
We are not registered anywhere specific. It's just a webpage done up so that our guests can select what they have bought. Where they bought or how much they spent, I couldn't really care less about, (though we have included a note that gift receipts be included with larger, more expensive items, in the case of accidental duplication or damage).
It's a very nice website. Very unintrusive. Not posted yet. Soon ;)
Would it be bad to print the URL on our invites, or include a "Please visit our wedding website" card?

Wedding website (w/ registry) on invites?

Dear Mousie,
Wedding websites are relatively new, so there isn't much written about the etiquette involved. I love them! Having said that, at first I felt that we shouldn't include the information in a wedding invitation because we list our registries on it. However, that seems so silly doesn't it? The website is so much more. It is your love story. One that your guests can share.
So, I think it would be appropriate to include a separate card letting your guest know about your site. I wouldn't include the information about the registries (you already know that). Please don't write it on your invitations. That may be common practice in a few years as we all become comfortable with the websites. But, for now... we go slowly.
Best wishes,
