Hello,

How wide do you think I should go in a heavy comfort fit plain yellow gold wedding band. Since it is a stand alone band I obviously want it to be very noticeable [cool]. I have medium length (I guess) fingers, so right now I'm thinking about a 8 to 10 mm band.

On the other hand, I want the wedding band my fiancee puts on my finger on our wedding day to stay on there forever - and hence this can be too wide!

Hi, an 8mm to 10mm band is very wide ... usually 8mm is considered a medium to wide men's wedding band, and women typically get 4mm or so.

I definitely do not recomennd 10mm. I would probably estimate 7mm for you, based on what you are telling me.

Keep in mind also if you are planning on wearing an engagement ring with it, it will be fairly wide and could become uncomfortable.
