Gloves for Bride

My daughter wants to wear opera length gloves with her strapless dress at her 12 Noon wedding in October. Someone told me that gloves on a bride are only appropriate at a "formal" wedding ceremony This is not a "black tie" wedding so are the gloves correct or not?

Dear KathyP,

Gloves are optional unless the wedding is formal. Then they are required. Opera gloves would be perfect with a strapless gown.
