Lilac would be a perfect color, and would make for a fabulously beautiful photos next to purple with sage green. Enjoy the wedding!

If you want to keep with the exact colors, go for a Green tone.
However, I absolutely love gold color tones with Purple and Green weddings.
Enjoy and Good Luck!
On my website you can change the colors of our Social Occasion dresses, just to get an idea of which colors look good together. It may be helpful.

The bridesmaid dresses are solid purple. Sage green will not be in their dresses. It will be in their bouquets. Would it be all right to wear sage green?
#5
My understanding was, that they have sage green in their dresses, like in a sash. If their dresses are solid purple however, then go for either lilac or gold/champagne tones. Either one will look great!

I think it would be alright to wear Sage Green. However, you don't want to be too matchy-matchy. Sometimes ONLY sticking to the colors of the wedding party and flowers ends up being too much.

My husband is wearing a black tux with silver tie and vest. I was thinking of getting a silver dress. Is that too matchy-matchy?

Not at all. I think Silver would be a very nice choice. Think about possibly incorporating either the purples or the greens, by wearing colored accessories, whether it be jewelry, sash, brooch, hair accessory.... Don't be afraid of using the colors, just be creative. Don't stick to what you think will be safe. Don't go with the same silver and black your husband will be wearing...pull in different colors to make it different.
