Hello!

To be brief, the colors for the wedding are black and white. We had NO clue how to incorporate this into a summer shower until the bride mentioned strawberries. Any tips on how to do this? Strawberry centerpieces, decor? We'd like to include another color that's not so... red. black. white. Something summery, you know?

We love the idea of strawberry plants or trees as centerpieces, which seems more difficult than we thought- we aren't really good at the gardening thing. Any other ideas? Maybe flowers in a strawberry decor vase? We are trying to steer away from edible centerpieces, unless we can find a way for it to not be so messy and not involve guests randomly picking apart the centerpiece. We don't have a clue what we're doing. ;-)

Thanks :-)

You really don't have to match the colors of the wedding at all if it's too difficult. However, you didn't ask me that. :-)

I was going to suggest an edible centerpiece of chocolate covered strawberries. I think you kill two birds with one stone there. You get a beautiful centerpiece and a desert that most people go gaga over.

Here is a cute strawberry cheesecake towel favor that can double as decorations too. or, make your own and give to the bride or a guest as a prize for one of your games.

A ladybug is a cute summer and red, black and white color and you can find a lot of decorations in that theme. Here are some ladybug favors http://www.topweddin...ladybug&x=0&y=0

For either theme, if you don;t want to go the edible route, do floating candles in your colors or get ladybug or strawberry candles.

Here are some black and white shower decorations: [url="http://www.4showers.com/Store/IDoPartywareCollection.html"]http://www.4showers....Collection.html

This should be a fun, relaxed event so don;t go crazy or spend too much money. it's a time for the girls to let their hair down and enjoy. On that note, come up with some terrific red party drinks with cute theme straws or glasses. There are so many ways you can go with these decorations. have fun.

I was going to suggest exactly the same thing as the Moderator did! Chocolate-covered Strawberries. You can use white chocolate and extra-dark chocolate to "loosely" follow the wedding theme.

I love the idea of doing it in relation to the colors of the wedding, but as the previous post mentions, you don't have to follow that concept. If you do want to, you can do things that relate to the idea of strawberries, but not actual strawberries. Although, so many companies will do personalized/designed chocolate covered strawberries, they are a great idea for a favor, or even a centerpiece.

Don't feel so obligated to the wedding concept, maybe just do something and make the theme "summer celebration" and then allow the bride to incorporate the black/white/red into her wedding ideas.
