Part of the church's fee includes a coordinator, a church member who will direct the rehearsal and the ceremony. The bride and groom will have met with her just once prior to the rehearsal. The organist is also part of the church contract and is a music student at the local university. Is it necessary to invite either or both of these service providers to the rehearsal dinner? They are an integral part of the rehearsal, but not acquaintances of the couple or their families. Thank you for your advice!

Although they are providing a service for your ceremony, you can, as a courtesy, invite them but would not feel it is required.

I agree. It really isn't necessary.
