what can husband wear for vow renewal?

My husband and I are going to renew our wedding vows next year on holiday in Florida (we're from the UK). It will be an intimate ceremony including our children (daughter 7yrs and son 2yrs old). There might be two of our closest friends there and maybe my brother and sister-in-law and their daughter if they come on holiday with us, but we are not telling anyone else in the family. Nevertheless, I have picked a dress that I am sure is suitable (ballerina length 50s style in purple silk), I know it isn't a wedding and she won't be a bridesmaid but I have told my daughter she can wear a 'bridesmaid' style dress. The big question is what could my husband wear? At our wedding he wore a kilt, whenever we have been to formal events he wears a kilt, he doesn't like suits, if he wants to be slightly less formal he wears it with a gilly shirt instead of wing collar and waistcoat. Part of the problem is that I am not sure if we can hire one in the US and I am not hiring one from the UK to take for 3wks, also it might be too warm for him. Shorts and shirt is too casual (I think) as it will be in a gazebo not on a beach. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

A kilt would be fine if you could find one here. There are many who do wear them here, so I would imagine that you just may. Of course, he could bring one of his own if he owns one that could be considered "cocktail attire". Other than that, he really should wear a warm weather lightweight suit.

Thanks, I will carry on my online search to find somewhere that hires them in Orlando, so far not found anywhere but there must be as I have found pictures of weddings where the groom was wearing one. Might have to try find one for my 2yr old son too! If not, we might just go to the outlets when we get to Orlando and see if we can buy him a nice lightweight suit, not something he normally wears at home in UK so don't want to spend too much on it. I will get more wear out of my dress as planning to wear it to the opera, garden party or to our annual Christmas charity ball.
