My MOH is creating a fuss about wearing strappy shoes as her ankles swell up (this happens also with trainers, boots, she is a plus size.) I have said to her if needs be wear flip flops on the day as the dress is long so i doubt people will look at her feet, but she is not happy with that. Are there any shoes that can deal with swelling? Help me please.

There is a wide variety of dyeable shoes available that come in wide sizes, are comfortable and have a sensible low heel. Some of the styles can be cute. Check with your local bridal salon, shoe store or check out this site's listing of wide wedding shoes - you are bound to find comfortable ones for your Maid of Honor!

Let your MOH know you understand her situation and are willing to work with her to find a comfortable pair of shoes. She really only needs to be in them for the ceremony and pictures but with that said I know what it feels like to be really uncomfortable. A pair with straps at the toes only leaving the center part of the foot exposed would be the most comfortable I think and then she could change in to whatever she prefers, as long as you give the a-okay. Naturalizer, David Tate and Coloriffics have some styles like the ones I described.
