I have purchased a raisin (plum) colored dress for my daughter's October wedding. We are planning to take immediate family group photos after the wedding at the church. Is it unreasonable of me to expect that my other immediate family members would NOT buy the same colored dress as me? Alicejean

It wouldn't be polite to expect others to dress in colors other than yours. All eyes should be on the bride anyway.

There isn't really any way to make sure no one else wears the same color as you, except maybe the mother of the groom. I wouldn't worry too much about it.
