Hello. I have a few questions I hope you can help me with. I have looked everywhere all over this site (which is overflowing with helpful advice!!) and have yet to find the solutions... My daughter is 2 1/2 and is the flower girl in a wedding, and my husband is the best man. (I am not in the wedding) It is an outdoor ceremony, indoor reception, starting @ 11am in Mid October, in CA. The bride has been very non-commital about choosing a dress for my daughter. She has mentioned "maybe" having a tutu made, and has also suggested a $150 dress from David's as well... I am trying to find accessories, shoes, etc. but it is too hard when I don't know what my daughter will be wearing... am I supposed to choose, or wait for the bride to choose? Also, since my husband is the best man he is hosting a VEGAS bachelor party, renting the tux, etc... our budget for the flower girl dress is not $$$$$... can I mention that to the bride? Or am I supposed to just go along with whatever she chooses regardless of price?? And lastly... I have NO idea what I should be wearing... I am not in the wedding party, but my husband and daughter will be... Am I supposed to stay away from the wedding colors? (it is a fall wedding, and the wedding colors are brown, orange, and purple) I don't want to clash with my family!?! I have a few dresses in mind but am not sure what is "appropriate" for an outdoor daytime fall wedding... I have a strapless long maxi dress that is "dip dyed" in various colors ranging from light gray to dark navy, or a just above knee-length sleeveless dark brown dress that is a cowl-neck style... Any input you may have regarding my issues is GREATLY appreciated!!

I am sorry for combining my questions... After reviewing ALL of the previous postings about appropriate wedding guest attire I did not find an answer that suited my needs. I find it unfortunate that you are no longer accepting new posts. I would still like to submit my questions in regards to the flower girl attire and etiquette - do I need to create a new post?

I'm sorry that we can no longer offer advice for guest's attire. That particular area became too involved for our experts to be able to respond properly. Perhaps when our paid sessions are implemented...
If you'd like to ask about something other than guest attire, please post as new under the appropriate category.
Thanks for your understanding.
