I will have five flower girls and a ring bearer in my wedding. I was thinking that rather than have them stand at the front during the whole ceremony, it might be nice to have them walk up, wait until my dad walks me down the aisle, and then go have a seat with their parents once the "speaking parts" begin. It might be a nice proactive way to avoid any boredom, crazy distractions, etc....
I am looking for suggestions on some creative ways the children can be involved. For example, I was thinking the girls could walk up carrying a single flower and then place the flower down somewhere/ hand it to someone(?), etc.
Any suggestions?
Thank you.
:)

Dear Jamha, very good idea to have the children seated especially since there will be 6 of them. More than 2 kids together means playtime. I like the idea of giving them to someone but not knowing the ages this could get too complicated for them. How about have a vase at front for them to add their stem to? It could become part of your unity table, etc. Position it so that the shortest can reach the vase and then it can be placed where you want it afterwards.

Wow, 5 flower girls is a lot of kids! Whenever you have that many young children there's always the chance of having at least one of them being shy or even unruly, so just don't rely on them being perfect with whatever task you give them. So, I love the idea of collecting the flowers, but maybe in a vessel that's non breakable - a basket perhaps? Then you don't have to worry about the vase being knocked over or water spilling.
The girls always love tossing the flower petals from their little baskets too.
